Driver T&C'S & our Privacy Policy
Driver Terms & Conditions
1. Students are responsible for obtaining and holding a current valid full or provisional driving licence.
2. To take a Driving Test, students are required to read a vehicle number plate from 67 feet [20.5m]. If you need glasses or contact lens in order to do this, then they must be worn whenever driving.
3. In the event of cancellation of any booked driving lesson(s), 24 hours’ notice is required, otherwise the full cost of the lesson(s) will be charged.
4. Driving Tests always take priority over driving lessons, and it may therefore, very occasionally, be necessary to change the time of a lesson to accommodate a Test.
5. Rules 95 and 96 of the Highway Code forbid anyone from driving when under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Any student suspected of being under the influence of either drugs and/or alcohol will have their tuition terminated for that day, and the lesson will be charged for.
6. Abusive language or threatening behaviour towards any Instructor, Examiner or member of the general public will not be tolerated. Any such behaviour will result in the driving lesson being terminated and the fees being charged.
7. Instructors reserve the right to withhold the use of their vehicle for a Driving Test if in the opinion of the instructor, the student's driving is not of a safe standard for the Driving Test to be taken.
8. Where and when the DVSA makes changes to Driving Test appointments, either on account of adverse weather, Examiner sickness or for other reasons, the student is still liable for the cost of the Instructor's time and use of the car - although every effort will be made to claim these out of pocket expenses from the DVSA.
9. It is your responsibility to notify your driving instructor of any change of your ability or entitlement to have driving tuition, or for example if your provisional licence has been revoked or for medical reasons such as epilepsy.
10. You authorise us to use any photos/videos taken whilst training or after a successful driving test, to be used in our marketing, social media or on our website. Any photos or videos to be used will be brought to your attention prior to taking.
11. Your driving instructor cannot be held responsible for lesson/driving test cancellations due to mechanical issues, but will endeavour to find a replacement vehicle as soon as possible. Electric vehicles are still very new vehicles. The driving instructor cant be held responsible for new and random warning lights which may unexpectedly occur whilst before or on test.
12. Covid19 Precautions (if applicable) - Due to uncertain times, pupils will be asked to bring and wear a mask due to government recommendations until such time we have been advised to not wear them any longer. Pupils who cannot wear masks due to medical reasons must advise the instructor before a lesson. The vehicle will be sanitised before and after each pupil. If any student has any Covid19 symptoms then they MUST NOT attend lesson and inform us immediately. Pupils must inform the instructor if they have any symptoms of Covid19 which occur after the lesson. This will trigger a deep clean and may involve informing other students for their own safety.
13. A copy of terms and conditions will always be available on our website. A copy can be forwarded via email on request.
I have read and understood the terms and conditions. By training with TG DriverTraining, you are agreeing to abide by these terms and conditions.
